Beautiful Disaster

Back in late January we had a huge ice storm hit our area. They say it was the worst in state history and we were actually declared a disaster area. We were out of power for over week as they called in extra workers to fix downed power lines all accross the region. Dispite the distruction, there was a strange beauty to it all. These are some photos I took.

They are still trying to clean up the huge amount of branches that cracked and fell; even whole trees. When it all took place it sounded like popcorn going off outside.
